Bluetooth wireless technology allows a consumer to use their cell phone, personal digital assistant (PDA) or MP3 player without cables while
still offering the security of encryption. Key features of Bluetooth technology include robustness yet low power for safety.
Bluetooth is a technology that is simple to set up. The technology is able to penetrate solid objects and does not require line of site
positioning of connected devices. There is no cost associated with its use beyond the cost of the device. A Bluetooth enabled cell phone,
PDA or MP3 player will wirelessly connect to another Bluetooth device as long as they both share the same Bluetooth profile.
In order to connect a cell phone to a headset, both must have HFP (Hands-Free Profile), and the cell phone must have its Bluetooth connectivity
turned on. The cell phone manual should explain how to do this as well as adjust the security settings.
